About Me

I'm Becky and I have been playing the piano for 40 years! Wow! That's a really long time! I've been teaching piano lessons for 30 years and absolutely love teaching students of all ages how to read music, theory, and piano technics.

I teach all kinds of music from classical, jazz, gospel, and basic chords. In a typical piano lesson, you will learn music theory along with piano technics. With consistent piano practice, you will become a great piano player and be able to read music excellently and accomplish so much. 

I began my piano journey at the very young age of 6 and enjoyed the piano so much. I liked to learn all kinds of music including church music, gospel, jazz, classical, and accompanying. I started teaching piano lessons when I was 16, with a few neighborhood children. I went on to college to major in Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance. I know beginner through advanced music theory and can play for just about anything. I am currently an accompanist and church pianist for both congregational, band, choir and orchestra.
